Liebe Freunde,

wenn wir in Lukas 3,1–4 auf Johannes den Täufer schauen, sehen wir einen entscheidenden Wendepunkt.

Der jüdische Opferkult war längst zu einer ganzen Tempelindustrie geworden. Tiere, Geldwechsel, Rituale – all das war Alltag. Und doch tritt plötzlich Johannes auf und predigt etwas völlig anderes: Umkehr, ein Abwaschen der Sünde durch Buße – ohne Tier, ohne Tempel, ohne Opfer.

Johannes steht damit noch im alten Bund, aber er kündigt bereits an, dass etwas Neues kommt.

Und genau das geschieht mit Jesus.
Zum ersten Mal hören wir die Botschaft vom Reich Gottes. Jesus selbst tauft nicht; das tun seine Jünger. Denn Jesus macht klar: Es geht nicht um Rituale. Es geht nicht um äußere Handlungen. Es geht um den Glauben, der das Herz verändert.

So richtet sich der jüdische Glaube mit Jesus in eine völlig neue Richtung – nicht gegen die Schrift, sondern als Erfüllung der Verheißung, die im Alten Testament schon angelegt war.

Und darum fragen wir heute:
Glaubst du nicht, dass Gott schon lange vorbereitet hat, was Jesus dann erfüllt hat?

From Sacrifice to the Kingdom of God

Dear friends,

when we read Luke 3:1–4 and look at John the Baptist, we see a decisive turning point.

The Jewish sacrificial system had long become a full religious industry — animals, money changers, rituals, temple routines. But then John appears and proclaims something radically different: repentance, a washing away of sin through turning back to God — without animals, without the temple, without sacrifice.

John still stands in the old covenant, yet he announces what is about to come.

And that arrives with Jesus.
For the first time we hear the message of the Kingdom of God. Jesus Himself does not baptize — His disciples do. Because He makes it clear: faith is not a ritual. It is not an external act. It is the transformation of the heart.

Thus the faith of Israel takes a new direction with Jesus — not in contradiction to the Scriptures, but as the fulfillment of what the prophets already foresaw.

So today we ask:
Do you not believe that God prepared long ago what Jesus came to fulfill?

От жертвата към Божието царство

Скъпи приятели,

когато разглеждаме Лука 3:1–4 и делото на Йоан Кръстител, виждаме съдбоносен повратен момент.

Юдейската жертвена система отдавна се беше превърнала в истинска храмова индустрия — животни, обмен на пари, ритуали, ежедневни обреди. Но внезапно се появява Йоан и проповядва нещо напълно различно: покаяние, измиване на греха чрез обръщане към Бога — без животни, без храм, без жертви.

Йоан все още стои в Стария завет, но вече обявява идването на Новото.

И това Ново идва с Исус.
За пръв път чуваме вестта за Божието царство. Самият Исус не кръщава — това правят Неговите ученици. Защото Той показва ясно: вярата не е ритуал. Не е външно действие. Това е промяната на сърцето.

Така юдейската вяра с Исус поема в нова посока — не против Писанията, а като изпълнение на пророческите обещания.

И днес питаме:
Не вярваш ли, че Бог отдавна приготви онова, което Исус дойде да изпълни?
